Halloween Stories- We have been getting some freaked out kids coming to me because they have heard a Halloween story and they are now scared out of their mind. Can you please encourage your children to not share scary stories at school, and remind them that the stories they may hear are not true, and they are just meant to scare you. Thanks! This will help reinforce what we are telling them at school!

*Remember, tomorrow is Grandparents Day. All grandparents will stay outside with the children (unless it is an indoor recess again). They will come in with the kids and come right to our room. They don’t need to bring anything at all, and in fact, the less the better! The grandparents will be moving from station to station with their grandchild working on all sorts of crafts and activities. They will be going home at 11:45. We are very excited, and again, if anyone is worried that they won’t have grandparents, no worries, Ms. Basky and Mrs. Maley’s grandparents will help out!

*This Friday, October 30th is Jersey Day. This is instead of wearing costumes or pyjamas like in the past. The kids can wear whatever jersey or sports shirt they want.

**Some parents may be wondering about Halloween candy on Friday. I don’t mind if you send little treat bags for the kids, but please know YOU DO NOT HAVE TO! It will just go home for mail at the end of the day.¬†You will have sugared up kids for the whole weekend! On that note, please remember the no junk food rule come Monday for lunch.

*** Scholastic Book orders were due a while back, but I did not receive any orders. If for some reason you forgot, and would like an October book order, please send it tomorrow. November book orders will be sent home this week.

**** We ask that any grandparents coming on Wednesday would wait outside with their grandchildren until the bell rings. I have requested that grandparents and Mrs. Maley’s class will be let in first so they can come up and get ready without getting run over by a herd of children. Hopefully this will work for everyone. We won’t have enough room to store everyone’s purses, so please leave them in the car if possible! Thanks!
